Surprise Sleepover!

We told the girls they could have a sleepover for their 8th birthday, but when Abi turned 8 I had just had Brooke and wasn't ready.  I decided to throw a surprise sleepover for her 9th birthday this year.  She was really surprised.  I made a flip flop ice cream cake with lemon custard and lemon pudding frosting (her favorite ice cream is lemon).  We decorated flip flops with water baloons and painted fingers and watched movies.  It was a fun time!

 The girls were so silly putting balloons up their shirts and saying that they were having babies.  I guess they are just pretending with what they see their moms doing. 

Brooke's 1st Birthday!

I am so far behind.  I lost my camera for a couple months, but finally found it again.  Thankfully it was found before Brooke's birthday.  I can't believe that my baby is 1 already.  The party was the day before her birthday because I don't like to do parties on Sunday.  We had a bunch of friends over and grilled hot dogs and enjoyed watching her eat her cake.

She is still not walking, which is ok with me.  She can now stand up from the middle of the floor and maybe get a step or two, but she doesn't trust herself (and why do it when you can get your sisters to carry you).  At her 1 year visit she weighed 17 pounds 7 ounces.  I am grateful to have her in our family!

Haircuts

I got the girls haircuts done this last week. 
I think that Lauren's hair looks very cute short (and she doesn't fuss as much when I brush it).  Reagan's is mainly cut off the back. 
Abi was going to wait so she could donate to locks of love, but she finally decided she wanted it cut.

Ag Day!

Every year the local community college has an Ag Day. The kids get to come and pet animals and take their pictures with big tractors. This year we brought Matt with us. His mom was my friend that just had a baby and I wanted to give her some quiet time. It was lots of fun!

Easter

After searching quite a bit, I was able to find cute matching dresses for the girls for Easter this year. They are slightly different from the older ones and the younger ones. I did not like that they make the older girls without sleeves, but the shrugs turned out cute with them.

New Dresser

When we first got married David brought this dresser with him. It was from when he was younger.

It has been well used by us and in need of replacement. So we ordered a new dresser and we had to put it together when it arrived. I am happy to have a new one and think it is neat that I helped put it together!

Hair

I have been trying new hairstyles on the girls and here are a few that I have done. Sorry that the one of Lauren is turned on its side.
